Post Any preference? or suggestion? (Tanabe Q's)

i've been looking at some threads here about the tanabe exhaust meddalion... some CL members said that it sounds like the G's and 350z..some said that they are little louder... which i think i would prefer to purchase on my IS... However how much do they cost? and what about the installation on this product? does anyone here in this forum have this type of exhaust who can help some information? I live here at 818 and 323 ca... thnx for the input...

the sound is nice and subtle but you won't notice it unless you push it past 2.5 - 3k rpm. If you have an intake you'll hear it more. installation is simple if you can jack it up but if you are lazy like me you can take it to a shop and have it installed for no more than $50. I got mine done for $50 at fast autoworks but I have seen posts where ppl have gotten them cheaper. For the system check with our vendor l-tuned for any group buys or try showstoppersusa. Good luck.

i don't think the tanabe's sound like the 350z's or g's at all... the tanabe's are subtle like them on the streets but has a different tone when comparing to the g's and 350z's

G35/350z stock tone

Stock/tanabe tone

i wish our tanabe exhaust sounded like the G's... their tone is very unique.
the tanabe's is the second quietest exhaust... first would be borla... i'm verry happy with it...

installation is easy... DIY... all it is, is bolt ons.

its not like the G35 in tone but the volume of the noise is a lil louder then G35 but thats because i have my intake. u might want to check carson aka L-tuned or M1 for GB deals. I got mines around 640 shipped. Did the install with my friend at the shop with a lift. Done in a half hour but I took my time because I didn't want to scratch anything.
