Successful V160 Getrag swap into GS400/430... Anyone?

Default Successful V160 Getrag swap into GS400/430... Anyone?

So I searched but couldnt find anything. Is there anyone here or knows someone who did a 6 speed supra transmission swap using the MVP motorsports adapter plate?

i would think swapping v160 into a 1/3uz is basically v160 -> 2jz + adapter plate.

and you can find all the info on my.is. plenty of people going from stock auto to r154/v160. Oh and a lot of things have to be custom fabricated for the GS to be manual.

I always wonedred if anyone was able to do the swap without any CEL coming on or anything else that would be irritating. The idea sounds incredible, I just want to see if anyone was able to do it.

i would think to eliminate the CEL youd probably have to swap out your computers, TCU at least, maybe even ECU to maybe a supra one so that it is compatible to the 2jz and the getrag.

why would you need it to be compatible to a 2jz if you're putting this on a 1uz or 3uz?

One question that has been flexing my brain big time !

if we do perform the swap.. and for once lets forget about all the physical aspects.. and focus on Electronics !

will the Factory ECU Start Goin CRazy once the swap is done ?!?!?!

because from my knowldge.. there is a Small Computer Unit only for the gearbox (E-shift stuff).. soo in other words... 1 is the ECU.. and 2 is the GCU (gear Control unit ) hehe my terminology bare with it !

soo wont the ECU start reading errors and flashing lights.. check engines.. and all that ?!?!?!!?!

That's why you should run a standalone
I know it's getting old, but honestly that is the ultimate solution to everything lol. And if you're to the point of needing such a strong transmission such as the V160...you're probably making in excess of 700-800hp. It goes back to my original logic, you're probably running a standalone if you're at those power levels.

soo your telling me.. if i go ahead and replace my Auto Tranny of Stock ECU.. it will work with out malfunctioning ?!?!?!? except for the showing the lights.. but other than that.. our saying the ECU will function 100% the way it use to function when was stock Auto Tranny !?!??!

or will it give restrictions and Fail safe Mode... ?!?!?!?

Thnx your almost getting me excited hehehe !
