EBAY Turbo Kits - Complete Sets
Hello Everyone,
I am curious if anyone bought this turbo kit on EBAY
Item number: 320209751261
Price is about 1500.00 for the kit and it is a direct bolt on, for all the stuff I think it a pretty good price.

What's wrong with the ebay kits?? I for one have the XSpower kit that alot of people on the Clubna-t are running. Nothing wrong at all with the kit. I don't fully trust the BOV and wastegate, but everything else is good to go. The only additional thing that you would need are intercooler piping, injectors, and engine management and you'll be set to go for moderate boost.

Dave, I did not use some of the components that came with the XS Power kit. I originally installed it and ran it at very conservative tune running the SAFC-II for fuel adjustment. But now, I have the craving for more power therefore, I must switch things around. The only thing that I will be using again from that kit is the manifold, downpipe, and intercooler. The rest of the stuff will be custom made by larry and I. I went with quality parts such as the turbo, wastegate, BOV, and injectors for the higher power goal. I'm still deciding on the EMS but I need to have some spare time to complete the motor I am currently building now. Hope to have it done before the big VW meet we'll have later in the spring. For now, it's mostly work and more work.
For those that are skeptical about the kit, I would say one thing. If you don't know your way around the 2JZ motor, then you are better off buying a fully built kit and having someone do the R&D work on it for you. But if you're like me, and like to work on your car and know your way around the motor, then this kit is a decent kit. When I mean "know your way around the motor", I mean you have knowledge to pull the entire engine apart and rebuild it from the bottom up if some catastrophic was to happen such as cracked ringlandings or pistons. Heck, the kit that JPI is selling is directly the same variation of the XSPower kit but missing a whole bunch of parts.
I bought a drift racing turbo kit for my ka-t project 240sx and it took about a month and the seals went bad on the turbo. I would be completely engulfed in smoke at redlights when the vehicle would idle. the kit was about 1200 dollars and i have sold the car now. the new owner installed a gt28rs turbo and the kit is working great now. If you can salvage everything eles its worth it, Mine was turbo intercooler bov mani and pipes... Come to think of it the shop made most of the pipes because the provided ones didn't fit.. Get a better kit somewhere eles.
