'00 GS4's with Nitrous, PICS?! [& recommendations?]

gonna plan on buyin' a kit. thinking 100 shot.

do i go with wet or dry?
do any of you with it have pics of the set up?
should i go more than 100 shot?
recommendations on what brand to go with? i was thinking ZEX

anything else i should be concerned about before jumping into this? lol

Transmission. Usually when you put a little bit more power to it you have to worry about the tranny. Probably get a valve body upgrade.

I say get a wet if you plan on spraying anymore than a 50 shot. However; you will have to mod your fuel line or fuel rails for a wet system. Almost all nitros systems are the same, but if you get the ZEX kit, make sure you don't get the dry shot with the nozzle on the filter.
Also, if you want a 100 or higher shot, I highly recommend a RPM switch.

are you planing on spraying on top of FI? or spraying your intercooler?

Wet set-up is going to be your best bet because it adds the correct mixture of nitrous and fuel. Very easy to tune by just adjusting the jets. I have the Zex on my GS400 and run the 125 no problem. Engine sounds great and it drops about a second and half off my 1/4 mile and about a second off my 0-60. I have a Window switch as well which I think is a good precaution because our car shifts by cutting fuel. Zex apparently will cut the nitrous if it feels a drop in fuel pressure, but I wouldn't bet my motor on it.

where did you tap in for the fuel line silenoid?

jesod Nov 10, 2007 02:11 PM

I'll take a picture and post for you if you want. It's pretty simple if you know where to tap it.

nice. have you taken it to the track? times?

karizma, if you're planning to add a 100 shot to an already boosted, stock motor, you'd better have someone who really knows what they are doing set it up. you should also really have forged pistons.
