j stuff, none of those intakes are cold air intake. They're all short ram intakes. I dont know of any CAI for the GS as of right now, unless you custom make the pipe.

I'm pretty sure my LMS instake is a cold air intake. It's much longer than the short ram...

LMS intake only applies to the GS300 though. I dont know if they make one for the GS400.

yeah, i've never heard of an intake for a gs4. you V8 owners have enough power, just leave the engine alone.

You are correct, they only make them for the 300.

Never!

After awhile, 300hp feels slow

I made mine from my K & N FIPK! Just extended the piping into the wheelwell. Since my install I was getting a CEL because of the larger and colder volume of air entering and passing the MAF sensor so I shortly reverted back to the original K & N FIPK setup (like SRT setup) and built a cold air box...which is also very good but the extended CAI is by far much better ONLY if you have an A/F tunner (controller) like the Apexi Neo which I just bought. I will be reveting back when I get this tunner installed. The car was running lean with the CAI extension the tuner should clean this up. We'll see.

Previous setup but going back to very soon...

Yes! Definitely but at low RPM it seemed to "spool" (like a turbo lag effect) slowly; probably because I was running lean (CEL popped up on dash) due to the extra air flow. But I tell you with this setup it kicked in hard further up the RPM band. BTW, last time I had this setup was before my PI TC and 3.76 LSD so I felt this "lag". Now I'm sure I wouldn't feel any loss of low-end acceleration with the addition of these goodies. However, I would not recommend this mod without an A/F controller (Apexi SAFC II / Apexi AFC Neo) because under hard acceleration you WILL trigger a CEL (check engine light) to come on making your car run lean and not run at it's proper potential. BTW, MANY members suggest this setup IF done correctly is MUCH better than the SRT with race ECU because SRT's piggyback ECU is NOT tunable whereas the above referenced A/F controllers are allowing to squeeze out more HP and TQ.
