Default GT2 Class IS350

I just thought this was pretty interesting. I'd actually like to see how these things turn out on race day...Anybody seen one in action before?...

I guess this is the exact car that they are talking about in this article...

No kidding! It almost makes me want to put on that Seibon Carbon Fiber Hood! Have you seen it? I already have a dent in my hood, so I might pull the trigger on that..

This car was supposed to be TEAM LEXUS car but it was canceled, nobody knows why.

Team Lexus members said why. Because of desired intervention of a certain company into their operations.

If I remembered correctly, It had something to do with TRD interfering with thier plans or setup. Cant recall exactly. I know Apex stated why in the forums.

Shame to see not rip up the tracks and win gold. Ill pay to just see it make noise from that engine....

Straight from the horse's mouth:

The whole car with exception to the quarter panels and frame are made from carbon fiber. The wing isn't quite as large as it looks in the rendering but it was made to hold somewhere between 600-650lbs of down force. Hence the size.

The issue was that despite our great relationship with Lexus over the past 9 years, TRD wanted control of our program. Now I'm going to have to beat around the bush on this, but despite all efforts and over a years worth of R&D Lexus decided to shut down the Team Lexus race program indefinately.

It's already been parted out. The empty shells are collecting dust in a warehouse on the east coast...

Hopefully those parts went to someone who will mass produce parts for our cars and not just personal use

There isn't much from that car that would be useful on a street car.

If Lexus has any sense, then they will race the IS-F.
