I would suggest that the option should be changed into a simple "no."

Oh, and for the poll, I voted the "lame" option .

Personally, I bought this car for luxury...not performance.

If I wished for performance, I would have purchased a 335i.

So with my IS, I'd rather take the money and purchase an aero kit.
Why not both?!?!? Anyways back on topic please!!!

Truely street legal will be impossible since the factory primary cats are integrated into the exhaust manifolds. The most we can hope for is almost legal, but still environmentally responsible by incorporating cats into the headers or somewhere else in the exhaust.

Uh, no. Somehow, I just can't believe someone would consider a poll in an online forum a "pressure situation".

If I wished for performance, I would have purchased a 335i.

That's great. I'm just curious as to why someone such as yourself would be interested in a) perusing the "Performance" subfolder, b) perusing a thread on "Headers", and c) voting on a poll in that thread and posting a useless response to boot!

The problem with my friend and our Mechanic who installed the Megan header is that the O2 sensor doesn't work and the check engine light comes on, and along with that disables traction control and that. If there is a way around that, I would love a header.

That doesn't have anything to do with the oxygen sensor not working. That is because there isn't a catalytic converter between the primary and secondary O2's. If you still have the secondary cats, just move the secondary O2's after them. That should get rid of the CEL.

Foxberry, I'm sure you read the rules, right?

So let's abide by them, and not make this thread into a personal one.

I have perfectly good reasons for saying what I said in my reply.

So please check your PM .

Sorry for the thread-jacking everyone.

I live in hawaii and i will cost me a arm and a leg to ship headders here BUT im WILLING TO PAY that cost, o2 harness extender if the sensor is needing relocation would be nice to be packaged with headders.

People are buying catbacks yet i see no real advantage to going that route without headders. Like dropsprings without shocks, rims without caster/camber plates... ect, ect, ect...

Default headers

I am in Canada and would definitely buy a set of well made headers. You should use burns stainless collectors on these as I'm sure a good set of merge collectors is worth a few ponies. I'm sure there are other Canadian's that would jump on these as well.

The collectors from Burn's definitely look like awesome units, but they are so friggin' pricey. I don't think 1 or 2 extra ponies would be worth a $500 increase in price.

Wow, so we've gotten about 20 interested IS350 owners here. How many will it take to justify development?

i will probably wait through monday to see how this goes, since usually it seems mondays are the busiest days on forums i think we have a pretty good showing all ready, but obviously the bigger the number the better it will look.
