Im about to buy an Injen Intake for my GS300. Anyone have one and can tell me how it sounds? Is it a noticable difference? Also how does it compare to the SRT?
many members have intakes on the GS3's. but with only an intake, i don't think you'll feel much a difference. of course on in-6's, it should sound a bit more deeper.
Srt makes more power and doesnt set off a check engine light. Well.....I guess Injen addressed that issue by using a filter that doesn't flow as much. Which too me is just backwards engineering, lol.
Hmmm...we make an intake that flows decently, find out you really do need a signal modifier to make it work correctly so instead of doing the right thing we will just bottle up the intake with a low flow filter so the car is getting just about the same amount of air as stock, only this is through a shiny pipe, yay! Lol.... If you just want looks get the Injemn, if you want a power difference get the Srt. Look up dyno graphs on the Srt, it consistently makes power, thats why it is one of the most popular intakes on this board.
I have the Injen intake. Most intakes are not going to make much power anyway, you need other mods as well, but outside of turbocharging or supercharging most mods aren't going to give you ridiculous power. With that said, the sound on the intake is amazing. I will have to make and post a vid.
