Minor preformance upgrades?
Hey, I just recently had my sc400 stolen, so I'm in the market for a new car around $20k. So far I'm looking at
Nissan Maxima
Pontiac Grand Prix GTP
Lexus Is300
Leaning twords the Lexus because of the Interior quality, reliability, and RWD compared to the other 2. The only thing that the lexus lacks is the speed. I've been looking around the internet to find easy mods for the Is, and I havn't come across many.
so my question is, what can I do to the is to make it fast and still pass smog(cali) and how much hp/speed in the 1/4mi will I gain off these mods?
any other reccomendations are appreciated as well, thanks.

minor upgrades that still pass smog (not too many!?)
intake that's carb approved
catback or axleback exhaust
that's about it.............................
race pipes, headers, cam gear, F/I - won't pass

"tuners" - you referring to safc or ? (maybe able to squeak a few hp but probably not worth the $)
