where from in NY
know any local dealers or you maybe able to get a t a local auto parts store
I don't see why gasket maker wouldn't work, other than being able to remove it afterwards.
You may be able to easily get exhaust gaskets at your local auto parts store (PepBoys, etc.)
basic gasket material wouldn't hold up to the heat, I presume you know that already.
I wouldn't actually guess that you could get the right diameter exhaust gasket at PepBoys, which would also have the holes for the bolts holding the canister/muffler on.
If you haven't bought the actual gaskets from Lexus yet, you CAN use the RTV/silicone that you buy at any PepBoys, autoparts stores, or maybe even Walmart.
The key there is to use the copper RTV, as I believe that it or the BLACK RTV have the highest temperature handlings. Put on a thin 1/8th or 1/16th" bead, let it set up for an hour or two to firm up, then bolt things together.
