my favorite would be blitz nurspec w/ straight pipes. It's loud with a nice tone and minor droning, but doesn't sound as barbaric as straight pipes throughout. The nice in-between exhaust would be the carson tuned cat-back or stock rear section with l-tuned. Not sure about aftermarket headers on the straight pipes though.

Best Exhaust Sound
Forgot about this thread...here's my contribution in case anyone missed it in my original post. I had the HKS Hipers initially, but made the switch to the Greddy Evo 2 full cat-back. With the recent addition of the S&S Headers, there is a noticeable difference in the note of the exhaust, but only at hard acceleration/WOT, not much difference at idle.

I'm finally contributing to this thread. I had some time on my hands yesterday so I decided to make this clip. I figured since not too many people on here have the RMM exhaust it's my duty. The video and sound quality isn't that great and the car was dirty but it gets the point across. Keep in mind it's coupled with an Injen intake.

1. L-tuned exhaust is not a cat-back system. It is only the last section of the exhaust system - the mufflers. Note that it is also discontinued and Carson does not sell it anymore.
2. Carson sell a cat-back system - it's called the CarsonTuned Full Cat-back exhaust http://www.l-tunedparts.com/product/?id=75 .
3. Headers are sold separately and not part of any exhaust package.

Hameed, thanks. yeah, I was just looking at that Carson cat back system. I was refering to the S&S headers listed on Carson's site. My question was how the Carson CB system sounds (with and without the S&S headers), and if Carson's CB is considered closer to stock in terms of sound. I'm going for a sleeper effect with my GS400 so I'm looking for Hi Perf but without a hardcore sound that attracts (ahem!) un-wanted attention.

This exhaust replaces the rear mufflers with straight pipes and resonated tips. Every other part of the exhaust is stock. Enyjoy!
