The 01+ 430 does not have that plastic piece on the bumper., so I can not help you there.

Did you remove the plastic piece on the bumper?
Your probably right about it on all the 01+ 430. I 've had my bumper off for awhile (RMM on now) I just did not recall seing it on mine. Mostly since ithe instructions did not mention anything about it. It is just mentioned in the GS400 install.
