Default Bad Motor mounts?

I Have a 2001 GS430 with 75000 miles. My front drivers side motor mount is totally done, only thing holding engine down was RMM strut bar. Is this usuall? I was told by mechanic this could greatly affect my 0-60 performance. If that is true then they have been going since 65k because performance has been dropping since then. Now a 2001 540i is almost 2 cars ahead of me in 0-60 New motor mounts and a Supra LSD will solve that.

yeah with bad motor mounts it affects the power, at leat that's what my mechanic told me.

you should probbably feel more vibration inside the car with bad mounts?

btw, how can the strut bar hold the engine?! it only attaches to the strut towers?

The engine is lifting so far the strut bar is stopping it from going any higher. However it put 2 nice marks on my engine cover.

I have seen a 2001 Sc430 with 45k miles on clock and broken passenger motor mount. This is extremely bad for motor and could knock some of the components out.

Default Motor mounts

Had new tires put on my ride and the mechanic noticed that my motor mounts were bad also. He showed me underneath the car whenever he would push the throttle the engine would lift up about 2 inches. Pretty freaky ! Anyways he quoted me $405 for 2 new engine mounts including the labor. Do you think that is a reasonable price?

I was checking ebay today and noticed someone had the gs 400 service manual in pdf on a cd for sale on ebay for 12 bucks. Anyone ever got this? Seems like a good deal, since I do alot of stuff myself and for the most part I just wing it. I was thinking about getting one so I can do the motor mounts myself. Here is the link on ebay....
