Default 2022 Lexus IS300 2.0t 4cyl

Hi! I知 newish to the Lexus community and picked up my is300 not too long ago.

I love the car but eventually I知 looking to mod it. I知 not too sure where to start. So I would love suggestions on what to look out for and what can be put off for later.

Thanks for the feedback

Hey and welcome. What's your goal for this car build? What are you going to use it for? Ultimately it is your car!

HI, I am looking at getting either a 2020ish IS300 or 350. How do you like the performance of the IS300? does it feel slow or is it quick ennough? Thanks

I currently have a 23 is300 4 cyl as well, and I've read on other sites that tuning a car this early into the life is a bad idea because it will damage the engine of the car. I'm new to this stuff to and to me, considering that it's a 4 cyl and not the AWD/350 v6, I feel that tuning or upgrading the parts could damage the engine. What do you think?

Hey Jozo, welcome to the CL and the Lexus world!

This thread may be a little bit old, but there are a bunch of 200t/8ar-FTS tuning threads packed with plenty of information to help you make an informed decision or purchase. I ran my D3 tune on my 200t for about 40k miles before deciding to sell the vehicle (90k total miles) D3 is still the best tune out for the 200t at the moment and is trusted by hundreds (if not thousands) of lexus owners. To this day, I don't believe even 1 200t owner has damaged their engine or blown anything.

We also have a discord packed with 200t owners that always share up-to-date information on the platform. Always free in DMs if you need anything or have any questions!
