VVTI/NonVVTI
Okay, before anyone who may know asks, yes I looked. I didn't really know how to look but after about 3 hours of hopping between forums looking I haven't found anything so hears my question as I am very new to the lexus community. The NPI ford 4.6 can gain good HP from using PI heads, the b18b1 can take a b16 vtec head and get good gains. What stops people from using VVTI head on non VVTI 1UZ motors? I am asking as I have tried looking and came up empty, its my understanding that the 1uz non vvti and vvti are not different aside from the heads. I do know that there are more electronics and it could be a hassle but that aside, is it possible? Has anyone out there done it? would there be any difference in compression like with the LSVTEC and NPI/PI swaps?
