Default Quick question about top speed

What is the top speed at around 7k in 3rd gear? (Aka overdrive off) a340e
I have a turbo sc and was just wondering for highway pulls how high I could get without doing like an sc430 diff swap.

Are you running an SC400 3.92:1 final drive ratio? A Supra TT Automatic / Aristo GTE 3.76:1?

I am not sure what the overdrive ratio is on the A340E that 2JZ-GTE’s and 1JZ-GTE’s get but 3.76:1 was the most common ratio for the 2JZ-GTE while 3.92:1 was the ratio most commonly used for 1JZ-GTE Auto vehicles (3.90 in cars like the Chaser/Mark II and Supra MKIII).

Your other ratio options for very high top speeds are:

—custom rebuild your diff with *only* the 3.615:1 ring and pinion from a 1989-1995(?) LS400 diff casing.

—Any SC400 VVT-i / SC430 (not all model years) / LS430 diff with the 3.266:1 ratio

—*Possibly* (extremely likely but not yet tried) the 2.917 ring and pinion (only the ring and pinion) as another full custom SC diff rebuild from an LS460 diff as the longest ratio known to be available for our 200mm diffs.

I believe it is actually a 4.27 final drive. The GTE came with 3.76 like you said, but the SC actually has a 4.27. I was going to go with a sc430 diff, as I think it works perfectly certain years, or a sc400 diff as you said. I’m just wondering the very rough top speed range on the all of these in 3rd (as im keeping the auto and building it through atfspeed)
