Default Exterior door handle assembly loose

Hey all,

I've been a lurker on here for years, but was pretty active on a different Lexus forum for a long time. Either way, having an issue with my exterior car door handle. When I pull on the handle to open the door the whole assembly pulls out of the car door a little bit. I tried to search for this in the forums, but the lion's share of threads are in reference to interior door handles breaking or the rods breaking and leaving the door handle unusable.

Anyone know how these exterior assemblies are fixed to the actual door itself? I don't want to keep yanking on it and then damage the rods/connections behind it.

There are screws behind that door handle that holds it in place .
