im kinda new to the toyota/lexus area.... i did some searches couldn't really find the info.i just wanted to know what are the major differences between the 1jz and 2 jz engines.....and what do sc 300's come with?

I'm not 100% sure but I think the 1JZ-GTE is a 2.5 liter twin turbo engine and the 2JZ-GTE is the 3 liter twin turbo.
In the US the SC300's get the 2JZ-GE, non turbo engine.

 

hey thanks alot! oh just one more q...i should ask this in the other sc forums but i was just wondering for headlights do you actually paint them to get the black backing or can you buy them from somewhere?

You have to take the assembly apart and paint the chrome peice. I beleive clearcorners.com sells them as a full assembly.
