HELP!!!!!!!! CAR DOESNT GO PASS 3K (I'm new to the sc Fam)

So the other day I just started my 95 sc300 stock motor stock everything and as I took off I realized it started to bog and backfire. It wouldn't go past a certain rpm until I dropped into lower gear(yes not very smart I know) but I had to rush to the hospital. Where do I begin!!!!!

check the cap and rotor on the distributor. easy to replace and has happened to me before. kind of sounds like cylinders are missing.

could be fuel pump ECU, jump pins FP and B+ in the diagnostics box in the engine bay and see if the problem stops. if it does look up fuel pump ECU bypass.
