motor importers/ current prices
did some very quick searching, and didnt find anything,
basically looking for who to use as an importer, and who you may have personal experience with.
i cant seem to find what im looking for and i feel like it shouldnt be as hard as it is to find. i spent the better part of today just scrolling through ebay and importers web pages. im looking for a non etcs-i vvti 1j, rear sump, no trans/auto and the ecu.

A little tip, a simple "bump" to the thread will attract more to reply.
ETCS comes with the vvti motors. If you dont want it, then you can do the conversion to remove it. Its $15-$20 from driftmotion or replacing the throttle body with a non etcs unit. Be aware, disabling ETCS disables idle air control so you may stall at idle when cold or if you rev the motor and throw it in neutral. You'll have to purchase an external idle air control unit if you want to have a good idle.
Email or call importers near you, they should be able to source a rear sump if they don't already have one for sale. Why not just reuse the oil pans from your sc3 if you cant find a rear sump motor?

I might be mistaken, but I'm almost positive all gte vvti motors come with dbw. They are cable driven for the first 15% and then it uses the tps on the throttle cam to tell the throttle plate motor how much to open. Is there a reason why you don't want the drive by wire? Not trying to pick your reason apart, just wondering so I might be able to help better.
