Default SC400 instrument cluster removal

New to Club Lexus and have searched how to remove SC400 gauge light dimmer/odometer/clock panel in front of speedo/tach etc. gauges. Have been to YouTube and seen the Tanin as well as additional video which say to just grab panel firmly and pull straight out.....two plastic clips should release and it comes out. Have tried and panel will not budge....was wondering if anyone has a tip or trick to getting the panel off so I can remove the cluster.

Thanks very much in advance.

"two plastic clips should release and it comes out"

Do you mean the two vertical screws under plastic covers at the top of the lens? There's also the two horizontal bolts at the bottom, toward the back of the cluster assembly.

Thanks for getting back,
Not speaking to the 4 screws that hold in the cluster itself...it's the dimmer/clock panel in front of the cluster that has to be removed first. Should be able to pull straight out to disconnect the clips holding it in place.

Thanks

Aha, I read your initial description too fast.

Yeah, there are two metal clips that hold that bezel in place, one toward either end. Just dig your fingers in behind as much as possible, and give it a firm tug. Sometimes it helps to focus on one side at a time.

Got it. Made a simple tool out of an "L" brace pictured below. Slipped taped end under panel, gave a good tug and one side popped out. Did same for other side.
Now comes the fun of the 3 instrument cluster disconnects!
