I'm having the same problem on my SC300 passenger door. I have a friend at the dealership that's had this happen before. He's supposed to look at my car this weekend and see if he can get the door open.

It sounds like the clips have broken. Don't roll down the window or you'll bend/break the door lock rods.

Since you can't open it from the inside or outside your options are basically break the door panel from the inside to access the latch or cut a hole in the door from the outside for access. Doors are pretty cheap these days...

you can drill out your lock cylinder and possibly have enough room and you wont have a hole in your door if you can another lock cylinder but tearing up your door panal and buying a new one might be cheaper espeically if you find one on here for 50, You can always pull parts from a junkyard pretty cheap too just have to find an Sc with a clean door panel in a junk yard usually its ragged out

i cant see how driling out the lock would help in this situation. its obviously broken clips for the door lock rods

Obviously using the hole as access to said clips or their rods with a pick.. don't mind me, i'm just a Toyota Lexus mechanic.

Better yet why comment if your not being productive?

Remove your door panel to gain access to your door handle, you can easily remove the handle and replace the plastic with Camry clips that hold the rod to the handle, it’s very common on our cars, so it take patience not a holesaw

Why brake the door panel? There are screws you have to pull out from the interior door handle and few screws around the door and int lock then gently lift up on the door panel while holding it unclip the light and wires you’re done, I think I disassembled 10 door panels without braking a single clip

You can't access the bolts near the dash and at the bottom when the door is closed. It would be different if the door could open.

My friend at work was able to get my panel off. He broke my window trim and had to shove his hand behind the panel to open it. My door lock actuator was old and rusty looking. We replaced the door clips. I may replace the the clip and door lock actuator in the driver side door for peace of mind.

Now I need another window trim.
