How much should Exaust Cost

I just got mufflers for my car, I am wondering how much people pay to get them put on. I am a bit tired of having shops rip me off. I have the muffler, I am just gutting from the 2 cats back, X pipe in the middle 2.5" piping.

Also do you think that is a decent setup to go with, I sort of took the idea from planetsoarer, don't know very much about exaust stuff.

$300 plus cost of X-pipe. Should take 2 hours to do.

I went slip joint instead of flanged or welded... of course there are some welded sections...

6pack of 8" offset mandrel s-bends $95 @ summit racing
2 Hooker Maximum Flow Mufflers $120 (for both)
4 Summit Exhaust Tubing 48" $44
10 Summit Muffler Clamps $20
2 Dynomax Universal Exhaust Connectors and Reducers $10
1 12" long X-pipe $75

$363 is the total (the prices above are not unit prices.. they are total prices) for parts

paying $200 to have them welded, mounted etc etc.

total true dual X-pipe system fromt front cats to back installed $600... still have to buy tips for the mufflers.

Manifold ~$1000
Downpipe ~$350
Midpipe ~$350
Custom Mandrel tubing to stock muffler flanges ~$600
New high flow mufflers and mandrel tubing ~$600

~$2900

Unless you’re going to turbo or supercharge don’t go bigger than 2.25”. No answer on price just an FYI.
