Default Diff leak opinions

Just pulled the rear cradle to do brake/fuel lines. I was thinking of servicing the rear diff and thought I had a leak to deal with but to me this looks like a possible overfill and puke out the vent. I'll clean for a better look but my ideal would be to leave this alone rather than pull the diff out of the assembly.

anyone got an opinion on this?
