Please help and thank you for all your help. I have a 1992 Lexus sc 300 auto with about 165,000 miles bone stock but the fuel pump ecu bypass. Everything was fine with the bypass had been done about 2 or 3 mos. ago. The Overdrive off light was flashing until, I had a Solenoid Service Kit Toyota A340 Transmission 1985-1999 2WD put in come also with tranny gasket and filter. And added 4 qts of new trans fluid. Overdrive off light went out. No check engine light. Car shifts good for the gears I do have and better since the tranny kit was put it. The fluid was very dark. So I know it needed it. And planning on doing a few more drain and fills. I still have no overdrive. Feels like the car is in limp mode because I can only get the car to about 45 to 50 mph at 4,000 rpm. I might be wrong on this but feels like the shift points are wrong. I tried to rest the ecu. And nothing. 2 or 3 times it did go into a higher gear but not into overdrive about 60 mph at 3,500 rpm and than for no reason the rpm's kicked up to 5,500 so i slow the hell down right away. So erratic shifting. I tried seafoam trans tune and it seems to help a bit for a day. That was before I had the solenoid kit done. Feel like an electrical issues. I read it can be a leaking or failing ecu? Or the electrical wire being dirty the runs to the tranny. Sorry for going on and on but this is driving be up a wall. The guy that was helping me work on it said he doubt the whole transmission is bad. Thanks again Shaun
