Default SC300 Replace/Rebuild evaporative pressure valve AKA suction throttling valve

Need help with the A/C in my 1992 SC300 for the upcoming Atlanta Summer. Looks like my EPR is bad. Dealer wants $890 for the part alone.
  • Can I rebuild/Bypass?
  • Can I use a cheaper EPR from a different vehicle?
  • Would replacing O-Rings and Diaphragm work?

Any help appreciated. Here are the pictures:

Get on car-part.com and find out who has a car on their yard and if close enough get the valve off of it or call and see if they will send it to you. Or for that price buy another car and rob the valve off of it.

Thanks, Found a place near me with my model car. Had my part for $35. A/C is working again. That beats the heck out of the other prices I've been quoted ($350 - $900).

Again, thanks
