Default Aristo 2jz swap in a SC300 VVTI

Hi everyone

i have a 1999 Lexus Sc300 2jz voting and wanted to build an Aristo 2JZ vvti and just do a straight swap.

1. Can this be done without major hassles
2. Can I just replace my rear sump, and place it on the Aristo 2JZ that is a front sump
3. Are there any major complications
4. I will be running pro efi
5. Great deal on this engine and after opening it up, it is mint and mine has 460,000 miles

all helpl would be appreciated

cheers

I did a 2jzgtevvti swap into my 1993 sc300 . It was my first swap and things considered it was a pretty straightforward swap you're able to reuse oil pan and drill out where your oil return line goes I had quick performance make my harness it worked wasn't super impressed with how the looming was done and they were able to customize for the true TT mod I don't think they would have any problem with Pro efi.

thank you Nauta,

so was most of the plugs in the same place? So the biggest difference was the sump?

You will need \want a new car custom harnes made.i tried to make my own got half way thru then gave in. Once I got a pre made harness it was supper easy. And you will need a new user water pump. Due to the fact that the JDM ones had hydraulic fans that are run off the water pump. And the new sump. A few other bits and bobs but it's pretty straightforward.

I thought you had to do a sump conversion ? I thought Aristo 2jzgte was front sump and it needed to converted to rear sump . Can anyone shine light on this ?

the gentlemen above both have an SC300 and so they reused their SC300 2jzGE rear sump oil pans on the Aristo 2jzGTE swap which had a front sump

its mentioned above you just reuse your sc300 pan and pickup if you have a 2jzge in your car already.

Its not to bad....I would suggest you look at some build threads.....many of us have done the swap...

Do your research first. It will pay out in the long run

They are going.. a little painfully slow though. The audi I changed the o2 sensors but my dumb !@# forgot to unplug the connectors when I cut the wires so I fried the ecu, finally got another one with the right tune back in it and hoping to get it through emissions now. The vette's fuel pump took a dump on me.. and literally dumped fuel all over my garage. apparently when they go bad they leak out the weep hole.. lol. Kind of a stupid design, I wanted to slap an electric pump on there but decided to just replace it with the mechanical again and call it a day. seriously never ends even though I am trying not to work on them as much.. I am collecting parts for the vette's t56 swap though, will be my only major project coming up for the cars this year
