Has anyone try to modify the 2JZGE fan for a GTE swap?

Default Has anyone try to modify the 2JZGE fan for a GTE swap?

I am doing a GTE swap. I read that it is possible to trim the GE fan to clear the radiator pipe, the advantage of that is not having to buy the Supra fan Shroud and the Fan Blade which is insanely overprice at $300.00 together (if lucky). If anyone can share some info on this that would be awesome.

I was planning to reuse the GE fan blade and put washers between the clutch and the blade to create some space. Any idea if this would work?
