Default Sc300 clutch pedal strut blown?

was driving my car yesterday and noticed the clutch pedal wasn't springing back like I'm used to it doing. Crawled under the dash to look and it looks like the strut within the spring on the pedal is shooting out some kind of oil or grease. So I guess the strut blew? Which would explain the slow return. Only way to fix would be whole pedal assembly right? (Not including master cylinder. Thanks

That thing leaking is your master cylinder... replace the master cylinder.

its not leaking from the master cylinder. I can tell that. It's grease not brake fluid.
I think the grease is just grease for the air shock on the pedal

The bolt that holds the master cylinder plunger to the pedal was binding up so I put some lubricant on it and works fine

check the clutch pedal while you're at it, manual SC's tend to have their clutches frame snapped. I doubt its the master cylinder, BUT, make sure you check that it is grease and not super old gross brake fluid.

Timing of this post is great. Just noticed the same thing. Haven't driven it in a few days, when I did the other day the clutch pedal was way lower than when I last drove.

Still haveing some kind of problem. Almost positive it's nothing to do with actually clutch or hydraulic lines. The pedal returns nice and fast until the very end. Thinking its something with the bolt that holds the master cylinder plunger to the pedal arm, or perhaps the adjustment bolt needs to be adjusted? Any ideas about the adjustment bolt. There was no bolt for the plunger to pedal arm when I got the pedal and master cylinder (my car is a manual swapped), so I just found a bolt that fit and put it through with a nut in the end. Maybe I need washer or bigger bolt? Any ideas appreciated

It's supposed to be a pin with a clip in the end for the plunger and pedal arm. Just ordered the replacement parts to see if this fixes my problem
