I'm piecing together parts for a custom intake that I'm making for my 99 sc400 since I don't wanna pay a ridiculous price for a after market one. Sure I could just do a bfi but the ricer in me wants an after market looking intake that still functions well.

I guess I'll try to make my own or just cut off the factory tube section with the maf on and just use that.

I'm pretty sure no one makes them. So even if you wanted one, you'd have to buy an aftermarket intake anyway then cut that section of pipe off to use on your intake.
So you're stuck paying for an aftermarket one anyway

GS400 intakes should* work in the 98-00 SC400.

Intakes I found that look like they're almost a direct bolt-in:

*SRT
*K&N

The plan is to build my own intake for under $80, at least that's the plan.
