Default EEEK! Engine Oil in the Transmission?

The subject says it all.. I decided this was too drastic to keep going on the same thread. My neighbor (believe it or not, i'm not covering up for myself) put motor oil in the transmission. What do I do next?

It's Valvoline Durablend

do a complete transmission oil flush use toyota type IV TRANSMISSION oil, hopefully it would get rid of the slipping problem, good luck!

if its a 5 speed tranny, then you're suppost to use motor oil 5w-30
but for auto tranny, you need toyota type-IV, do a tranny flush like the guy above said.

onelasttry,
nice "when did it become your problem "

carnal_c30,
yes japenese manual tranny use 10w30 or 10w40 motor oil. Redline has been known to make shifting "smoother" but I have yet to see a true benefit vs the cost.

nitecow,
Flush out all the old fluid ATF/OIL combo, put in new ATF.. if it's a V8 toyota tranny use Type IV. Run a bottle of B&G Tranny flush through. Flush again. Or like onelasttry laugh at him and offer to buy his car at a "discount" because it will need a new tranny. Then flush it and drive it for years while he punches himself for being scammed.
