Nuturf87, I don't understand what made you think you can run 1000cc on the tt ecu mod, especially ID 1000cc which are EV14 injectors and newer tech (so injector lag times are different than the original injectors for this ecu which are more like EV1).
even from the US ecu with 550cc, that is doubling it... which might have worked on E85 but on pump gas that is asking alot.
Also the usdm being a maf setup, its not going to scale as well as the jdm ecu from a piggyback, meaning its hard enough to get the USDM ecu to work on na-t with the stock 550cc injectors.

So in summary, I doubt it will start and run properly with ID1000 cc injectors, you might get it to start and idle to some degree but it won't be pretty when you tap the gas.
if its running for 5 seconds then it should do the same wihtout the starter fluid regardless of IGF there or not. for the 1zz coils you just connect all 6 IGF wires together to the stock IGF wire.

Get yourself some 550cc injectors of the old school variety that are top feed high impedance and work from there.
Or if you don't have to deal with emissions, just swap to a JDM ecu but still anything over 550cc or even 600cc on the jdm ecu will start to have problems.
on USDM ecu I wouldn't push more than stock 550's cause of the maf setup.

Basically get 550cc injectors and you can still do tweaks with the map ecu, but do note setting up the map ecu can be tricky, I have had no starts on the base maps lots of times without tweaking.
Also if you have an actual IAT in the loop, you should not put a resistor in place of the IAT on the maf connector, you do one or the other, not both. that could be part of your issue.
hope that sheds some light, good luck.
thanks for responding ali. I never thought that the ev 14 injectors were going to be a problem. I dont run a maf sensor though. Im not sure if I want to purchase 550cc ev1 to run on this set up. I have it setup for e85. But if I was to purchase top feed high z 550cc ev1 injectors instead of low z and install the tt maf sensor (which I have) with the usdm tt ecu will it be able to run like a stock 2jzgte singled? Will I need an safc instead of map ecu to tune it or can I leave it tt ecu, maf, and map sensor and run 14 psi fine for now? How do you like your aem v1 if your still running it? I've been looking at the infinity and the elite ecus. Another thing, I run a s366sxe. If I were to use the maf sensor would it be a problem installing it with a reducer and the turbo intake pipe since the maf is only 3 inches and bw compressor is like 4 inches or 5 if I remember correctly?

Did some research on the usdm tt ecu deal. So if install a set of 550cc ev1 high z injectors and install the stock tt MAF in a blow thru setup like post intake intercooler pipe would i be okay? Saw some videos and noticed that people who own supras that still run stock fuel/ecu have a single turbo setup running the stock tt ecu and run the stock injectors (550cc) and denso tt pump and have success with no piggyback controller and pretty large turbos 71mm etc can that be confirmed? I may be willing to remove me bosch injectors and find some 550cc ev 1 14mm tops due to the fact that I run a 14mm injector bung fuel rail. And give it another shot.

Any recommendations for a catch can setup? (Ali i know you said filters will be fine for pump gas stuff but i think id like to get one anyway)
Can i use any like 3 port can and run the two valve covers to it and the other lead to my turbo inlet?

Nuturf, not to sound harsh but I am feeling like you didn't read the beginning of the tt ecu mod thread. If you don't need emissions, which based on standalone talk I am guessing you don't.. you should get a jdm ecu.

With the JDM ecu you can use 550cc injectors and your map ecu piggyback, and run well with a single turbo up to 500ish hp.. this is about as far as I would recommend pushing the tt ecu mod (stock jdm injector size is 440cc).

The usdm ecu does not respond well to single turbo's cause its maf based, and it doesn't matter if you are using a piggyback with a map sensor, its still simulating the maf output to the ecu and wont work well.
All those guys who do it on supras with singles on usdm ecu's have issues, talk to one of them and see whats up. you will have more issues since your turbo is on the larger side.

so in short, 1000cc you are going to need a standalone. I would have never recommended the usdm ecu unless you need emissions as it is a pain and doesn't work well without a bunch of tweaking, still its iffy.
You could just puck up an aristo ecu from here and some 550cc injectors till you are ready for more power. 1000cc injectors wont do anything for you until you are running e85 or a standalone anyways.

Silent, you can run a can and at certain power levels you will need it, look for one with reasonable size ports, like two -10 AN in for the valvecovers... and for the line to the intake, don't do it and just run a large filter on top of the catch can.
make sure it's baffled and the hole for the filter is at least -10an also, and it should catch the oil without spraying.
Putting it back into the turbo intake on these cars at higher boost levels is going to make a mess of everything.

Check out some of Gerrbs latest builds in his build thread, he has some great setups.
This is his latest stealth na-t one, see the can in the top left, filter on top, and looks like 2 -10an size push loc hoses on the side but I can't say for sure just what it looks like =)
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/bui...l#post10661243
If you go back and look at some of his older builds you can see the lines and routing etc.. and various style cans he has used.
Also, If you ever get time to go through his build at almost 300 pages now... you will know pretty much everything you ever needed about 2jz's.

That blower probably costs $4000+. I saw it on summernats footage from this year haha

Alot going on the front of that thing, some kind of custom cam trigger along with what looks like a cam driven oil pump?!?
then throw in the na valve covers and the filler on the passenger side like a gte, although it looks like the waterneck is still on the passenger side just going to a AN line.

All the custom stuff is pretty neat, nice fab work but I don't get the roots supercharger other than the looks, I wouldn't even put one on my small block with the vortechs they have now.
Looks impressive though, but you will probably make more power on your setup lol.

The aussies are crazy about blowers on their burnout cars haha so its just nostalgia. The pump on the cam is a mechanical fuel pump for straight methanol.
I like how they tapped the valve covers like ours haha I might do my lines like this off to the passenger side into a can.

Methanol... makes sense actually. Yeah that is more or less how everyone is doing it these days on the catch can.
making me think of picking up another SC now to play with, there is a 97 that has some potential near me I want to look at but not sure I want to mess with obd2 here, will look at it and see what happens lol.

I assume you dont want obd2 because of emissions? Mine's an obd2 car and i have it registered in another county that is exempt. I'll be getting collector plates anyway which will make it emission and renewal excempt.

You should get another one!! haha

Yeah mainly because of obd2 but if I did a mild na-t setup just right it could maybe run decent on a usdm ecu. Will see if the right one pops up.

I’m about to pull the trigger on a driftmotion turbo kit 6262 (non BB). Would it be wise to swap out the supplied -4an oil feed line for a -3an?

Hey, AliSc3

I have a 2001 Gs300. It’s a VVTi and I want to go FFIM but I’m trying to keep my traction and cruise control. Now I’ve been looking for sometime and I can’t seem to get the right answers. What I’d like to know is, would a GTE throttle body work and if yes, which one (VVTi or Non VVTi) which year as well (if it matters) and besides fab work do you think there’d be any special electrical work to be done?

I’d also like to change my coils as well, would you recommend going lq9?

I would use the supplied line if you're getting a kit like that. my Garrett GTX3582r recommended a -4AN line with a restricter. Lookup what precision recommends.

Does the GS300 use a cruise control box off to the side with a manual cable? i couldn't think of a way to make that work with my SC so i ditched cruise control for now.

Why change the coils? vvti wasted spark coils will make good power. LQ9/LS coils will run hot from what i hear, if you're determined to swap to cop i'd go with TT coils.
