Default ge 11mm vs. gte 14mm fuel rail

Is it possible to use a gte fuel rail and injectors on an sc with a 94 obd1 lower runner?

I've seen lots of posts explaining that our car uses 11mm and if you are newer than 95 it is best to grab an old obd1 lower intake runner, but can't find much information on the other side of the injectors. I know that I can purchase 14mm injectors and simply purchase the 11mm hats and use it with the stock rail. What I don't know is if I purchase a gte fuel rail if I can use it along with the 14mm injectors. Mostly asking because I find 10x more 'for sale' threads for 14mm injectors and rails than our 11mm.

gte fuel rail and gte injectors are side feed ... no they won't work on a SC300 (2jzGE has top feed rail and injectors) runner . They have a different size of injector bosses on the runner .

I was looking at the id1000 injectors and last time I called them about a set of 14mm supra injectors for sale on sf, they said all I needed to do was purchase the 11mm top hats and they would work with my sc. That is what lead me to thinking that it would be easier to save the money purchasing the 11mm top hats and simply using the 14mm's with a gte rail. Appears I was wrong and appreciate the notice.

when you look for injectors , you don't only consider the size of the top that goes into your fuel rail (for top feed injectors). You also have to consider what are their sizes on the bottom (injector bosses) where they get into the intake runner.

That's where I got confused. Looking at the manufacturer pics, it seems the base of the injectors look the same size between the id1000-60-11 and id1000-60-14 injectors. There is a difference in height of 64.7 vs. 63mm between the 2 top hats. I was assuming that if I purchased a matching gte rail that the billet clamps that come with the rail would make of the height difference.
