Default 1j vvti auto into 00 auto sc300

Been doing a some searching around and can't find any for sure yes no this is right/wrong info on the swap.

I know the basics of physically putting the motor in, but how much of the wiring is different and what's up on the drive shaft?

I have done the non vvti into a non vvti car, easy peasy, but having trouble finding vvti to vvti swap info.

Thanks in advance peeps

if you find a vvti out of a soarer that is similar year to yours then it will be the closest to plug and play that you can get. you will still have to extend the harness a bit as the left and right hand drive cars have it in a different place. there isnt much info on the vvti to vvti swaps, i did a chaser vvti into my 92 sc400 and had to redo the whole harness so it was a pain and you should bank on some of that.

If you've done a Toyota to toyota swap before, you should have no issues with a pinout of the new ecu and the EWD for your stock car. It's not a big deal. Is the 2000 returnless fuel system like IS300? other than that, no concerns I can see. All jz z30 auto uses same driveshaft iirc

Off topic, but what made you chose 1j over 2 in your research I'm just curious

Yeah I figured as much, just wasn't sure on the auto drive shaft and if the wiring was going to be a pain for a chaser 1j or if someone had done a soarer one and had hands on yes no xp

If the 1j VVTi was out of a soarer, minimal wires to get it running. If out of a chaser, you will have to mate your sc300 body plugs to the 1jz body plugs. Pretty much you gonna have to open up your wiring loom and extend harness and do body plug wiring. Using a wire diagram will be best. I have one somewhere on my cpu if you need it. lmk. Gl
