ECU pulls timing during shifts?
So I have been driving my new SC300, generally enjoying it, for the last few days. It's vvti and jumps off the line pretty strong given its power to weight ratio. I really love the car and as a daily driver, until a GTE swap happens, it even has decent power. The ONLY thing I don't like is that not only do the shifts take forever in this car (nothing wrong with the trans, you can just tell this transmission was not designed with performance in mind) but the ECU seems to pull a lot of timing during upshifts (maybe downshifts as well?). I can tell that this thing has quite a bit of power because once it's in gear it feels decent. I guess I am wondering what I can do to make the shifts quicker (making an adjustment to a cable or solenoid). I know there are shift kit out there, and that might be an option, but I was hoping I could adjust something that way I can revert back to stock if I need/want to.
Also, while I doubt there is anything I can do to eliminate the ECU from pulling timing, I might as well ask. I went through the SC mega thread and didn't really find an answer to these specific questions. Sorry if this has been answered before.

You may need a shift kit.
The only solenoid mod I know about is this one but I don't think it works properly with Sc300 or 97+. Read through the thread for info on the 300 or 97+.
