Default Quick knock sensor question

Hey guys, I've got a quick question regarding knock sensors. I've got a '93 SC300 completely stock, so OBD1. Engine code popped up while driving and it does it random so I jumped the terminals to get the code to blink and got "55", which is knock sensors circuit fault. Now what I'm asking is, is it simply just a bad knock sensor(s) that needs to be replaced and if so are there 1 or 2? If not, is it something else? Regarding location, I've looked up the code descriptions and they say if you have "52 or 55" its a KS. So bank 1 and 2 I'm guessing, but which is which and how do I know which KS is bad?

Thank you.
Austin

Search for ECU capacitors and knock sensor. That's more likely your problem.

I just had the ECU rebuilt by Tanin about 3 months. I'll check it out though.

Probably not that, then. That leaves the tougher stuff to diagnose...

The SC400 has two knock sensors, thus the dual 52 and 55 codes, but I think the SC300 only has one?

Looked it up on Shop Key Pro. The 2JZ-GE does have 2 sensors. Code 52 for left bank (front side) and Code 55 for right bank (rear side). Same applies for ES300, GS300 also, per shop key. So I'll just replace the 55 sensor and go from there. Thx for the help.
