Default My experience with Collins performance technologies

I did a manual swap on my SC400 and it was much harder then it had to be. Now, im not sure how others have dealt with Collins, but my experience has been a pain in the ***. I ordered the KA to SC400 manual swap kit (1500$) from Collins, website: http://collinsadapters.com/

After buying the kit I ran into a host of problems,

- Drive shaft was too long, I had to cut it down.
- Flywheel was completely wrong!
- Flywheel destroyed my starter

So, cutting the driveshaft down cost me 200$
Buying the proper flywheel, and then modifying it to fit the 1UZFE cost me 300$
Replacing my broken starter, parts+labor cost me 500$

So in total I spent an extra 1000$ on parts which should have been included in the kit!

I have emailed Collins about the flywheel after it destroyed my starter and have received no response.

Overall it was a HORRIBLE decision to choose the collins kit for my manual swap, and I hope this warns others to avoid them. If you want a kit for your SC400 look somewhere else!
