SC300 starts then dies

So we finally got my car to start while spraying starter fluid in the throttle body. It starts but dies almost immediately . Anything I should check first?

When you turn the key, listen for the fuel pump (behind the rear seats), if you hear it running like it should be, try the 12v fuel ECU mod bypass.

This is the same symptoms as mine. Please check my two recent postings.... It might help. This particular procedure is quicker. If these postings does not help you, let me know because there are other tests that must be accomplished. BTW, mine is a 1992 SC300 Auto trans with over 300K miles.
