My 92 didn't have an EGR temp sensor. No codes involved in the block off for me.

tt1520, I got my blockoff plates from MVP Motorsports....But I just saw them on Horsepowerfreaks.com for $45.

Scott, I didnt have the temp sensor either, but when I was putting everything back I had one connector left that I spent 2 days checking for...turns out it was for the egr temp sensor that never was connected. I didnt have to add any resistor.

FWIW... I've had really good luck with Horsepowerfreaks lately. Ordered the ACT plate / HPF bronze disc combo from them. They've replied to every e-mail, they give you an e-mail with order status and tracking info.

what kind of resistor does the EGR temp sensor need? 68k ohm?

turbo didn't line up as perfectly as i wanted; but its definitely acceptable... the intake pipe slightly touches the distributor
and the intake pipe i bought is way too long; in fact i only need about 2 or 3 inches of it... this is my fault tho; as my filter, maf adapter, and maf are very long together; i need to find a way to shorten it; maybe find a shorter filter

turbo/manifold/wg is mounted, oil pan is drained, i have pulled the hollow union bolt and will drill it tomorrow
i will also drill the oil return tomorrow

boost gauge and AFC are mounted and as clean as i could get them; looks pretty nice perched on top of my HVAC controls...

to do:

fabricate intake piping
pickup 2" to 2" rubber adapter and 2" to 2.5" adapter
get BOV back from shop since i left it there :/
turbo inlet needs fixing
drill oil return and oil send; tap; and mount 1/8" to -4AN adapters
run lines

drive to exhaust shop on open exhaust <-- about 3-4 miles so not too bad

ahhhhhhhh, the oil pan makes me wanna scream

i got all the bolts off; two were nuts, the rest were bolts

yet i can't get anything to pierce between the pan and the upper pan
and i just gave myself a NICE gash; might require stitches; skin on the top of my hand flops around

Bean,

What are you going to do with the injectors? Last time i talked to you that your injectors did not fit. What are you going to use now?

stock injectors, low boost

the oil pan is not coming off... i can't get any sharp objects; even a ****ing knife to even slide between them; there's not enough room to get some muscle behind a hammer and a screwdriver... so i'm ****ed

Putty knife?

Just drop the pan a little, slide a trash bag over it, then use a right angle drill (rent or buy a rt angle adapter). Drill into the aluminum boss with a hole saw bit. Use grease or other stuff to trap the filings, then wipe the stuff out with your finger from above and below. Then attach a shop vac to the hole and suck the remainder of the stuff out. Should be smooth with no filings, Any remaining filings should have hit the top of the covered oil pan. Then just tap hole with the appropriate NPT threads so that an NPT to AN fitting can fit in there.

Bean,

You told me that you want to run 720cc. The AFC will not able to control the amount of fuel during idle. Too rich. Anyway, i ordered one Rx7 550 cc injector yesterday and do some R&D on it. If everything is cool, my car should be fitted with 8 550cc high impedance injector. Still control with AFC for now, maybe a cheap Wolf 3D stand alone soon.

Bean be very careful trying to boost on stock injectors, you are flurting with trouble. On removing the oil pan, a razor blade worked pretty well for me. just work one spot on the gasket, and once it is chipped away enough stick a small flathead in.

I stayed rich on stock injectors until around 7-8psi. You'll wanna watch it closely. You have a wideband 02, right?

i said i wanted 720s and a standalone or 680s and a VPC

i wouldn't go wolf3d... if there's any standalone that has support on your motor; its the Haltech; because Haltech is an Australian brand; and thats where nearly ALL the R&D has been done on the 1uz motor

Scott, i couldn't get the pan off; but drilled through anyway.. i used LOTS of thick gooey grease and a right angle drill... i cleaned the bit about 10 times and the hole about 10 times; and i timed it perfect for breaking through... i doubt hardly any shavings got through; and the oil filter will catch the rest...

oh and since my injectors won't fit; i'll be running off the wastegate spring .45 bar = 6.5psi...

and i'll either: A) get a new fuel rail, and a AFPR... or B) sell the AFC and ITC and BTM and get an emanage...
the emanage looks better and better... because the emanage would not be that much more expensive; and i can also control additional injectors for now and save on the rail... for now

What was this with? stock fuel pump, fpr, and injectors, or were some things upgraded. That is better than I thought they could do.
