Weird Clicking noise in Park + Drive
I own a 1995 lexus sc300 with a stock vvti 2jz-ge, Never really had these noises bother me, today it sounds the loudest so I thought time to do something before it gets bad. The noise seems to be coming from the front by the radiator fan and the serpentine belt, we just replaced the belt, it's tight on there. I cant do the noise justice talking about it, check out these videos, the noise starts while in park, and when i switch to drive before I take off it's about 20x louder and a quicker noise pattern, doesnt make much noise when driving tho, anyone come by this? The first video of the belt is in park, the 2nd is in drive

sounds like the belt tensioner up front there, when you replaced the belt was it very easy to turn the tensioner back to allow removal of the belt? alot of times a tensioner that is going bad will show up right when you put on a nice new tight belt. usually it does it in park and neutral because when driving as its more loaded up as in the tension on it is more constant so its not in a constant rocking back and forth motion like it does at idle.
if you look on the side of the tensioner there will be several tick marks and an arrow. the arrow should be sitting in the range of the tick marks with the belt on.
If the tensioner is out of range usually its because its worn and not keeping the belt tight enough, and thus it makes the rattling noise inside the tensioner.
I can actually see your tensioner moving in the video at idle, so its probably a bit worn out.
also your 95 has a non-vvti.
