When you state that you are stuck in park, I am assuming you have an automatic transmission.

As I recall, for that year, you must step on the brake to get an automatic transmission out of park.

If the brake lights don't work, and you can't get the transmission out of park while stepping on the brake pedal, I would check the brake light switch with new (not used) and try bypassing the switch.

Best of luck.
