Default knocking front wheel

this just came out of nowhere like how???
so car sat outside last night while it snowed, no problems when i parked it, today, dug it out, got it out of the snow and there's a freaking loud knocking noise on the driver side front wheel. gets louder and quicker with speed and when i apply the brakes completely stops, sound disappears. car vibrates a little in the seat and sometimes i can feel it on the brake pedal. doesn't turn to either side and the wheel hub is not getting warm or anything unusual. maybe i hit a big piece of ice or something? any ideas? i looked around but everyone just has whirring or rubbing sounds, this sounds like there's a branch stuck in there and it's bouncing off the wheel.

here's a quick video from the inside of the car, from the outside it's not as thump sounding and higher pitched, doesn't sound as serious.

It's either something got caught in your front wheel well, of if you did any work prior you could leave something loose.
I'd Jack the front and spin the wheels freely to see what's causing the noise and go from there. It's hard just to go by the sound.
It may be just packed with snow

Like Lexxium said, make sure you tightened the lugs if you did any previous work on it. You also might have encountered a broken stud.

yea i've read a few stories now that it might be lug nuts being loose. i test fitted a wheel on that side, so maybe i didn't tighten it enough. really hope it's just that simple.

don't wanna admit this, but it was the lug nuts. im happy it was just the lug nuts lol. now to address the back wheel. i think i'll just replace the bearing in that one. it's been whooshing and cracking for ages now.

You're not the only one. I just did this to my SC a few months ago. not long after a stud broke.
