Default SC400 Manual Conversion with 93 sc300 w58 and speedo doesn't work

Hi Everyone,

I have searched but haven't been able to come up with any definitive answer to this problem.

I recently swapped a w58 from a 93 sc300 into my 92 sc400.

I have faced a few different challenges with this swap. Such as a stalling issue.
While that has been solved, I am going to tackle the non functioning speedo problem.

Before the swap, the speedo worked fine. With all of my searching, it stated that sc vss are
3 pin and are plug and play. However, it still doesn't work.

I checked the connector and I am getting 12v+ at the yellow wire. The red wire is also getting a ground. However, still nothing at the speedo.

I took the sensor out of the tranny and applied 12v to the power pin and tested the return pin and there is definitely fluctuating voltage reading so that I know that the sensor is good.

My question is: With all these things checked, why is the speed sensor still not working; this has me baffled.

Is the circuit board on the cluster not compatible with the W58 vss signal? From what I read I thought they were all the same 4 pulse.

Please let me know if you guys can help with this issue. It's totally confusing me!

Thanks,

Marvin
