Default Power steering fluid changed, now the steering feels heavier . . .

So is this just in my head??? Am I crazy????

So I had the coolant, power steering fluid, gearbox oil, and rear diff oil all changed on my 1992 SC300 with 82k miles on it. Other than the coolant, I assume all these fluids were 22 years old and in need of changing.

Now maybe I'm a bit crazy, but it seems like the power steering is a bit heavier. Maybe its because I've been driving my 1993 Toyota truck or my other backup car, a 2000 Avalon for the past week. Both of those cars have a light touch to the steering.

Still when I get behind the wheel of my SC300, its like the steering is WAY heavier at parking lot speeds. Not that I mind, but its kind of freaking me out because I don't remember it being this heavy.

Any opinions? At speed it feels perfectly natural. BTW, I'm running a size 225/35/R18 tire on the front wheels. That might not be the exact spec on the tire, but I'm running those staggered 18" Lexus "spider" wheels on my car. This might be all in my head btw . . . .

Did you use the recommended ATF fluid for the steering?
