Default BW S366 on a 1jz?

Yes, it's been covered and asked about a few times, but I've never been able to find a decent definitive answer on this turbo and what to expect for lag. My setup will be (a little) unique, so I'm curios to know as well before I pull the trigger and build my car entirely around this turbo. Stock bottom end 1J, going for 700hp and anything north of it (safely of course).

Turbo:
Borg Warner S366, Twin Scroll, .91 A/R. 7 Blade Billet FMW Wheel

Relevant Items to support turbo:
BC 272 Cams
BC Adjustable Cam Gears
BC Spring Kit
AEM V2 (will be getting a professional tune)
2000cc Injectors (going to run E85)
Duel Pumps
4" Downpipe
45mm Wastegate

Honestly If you are putting in all this effort to build your engine around this turbo if i were you i would ditch the 1J bottom end and find a 2JZ GE block and make a 1.5JZ out of it... this will help you spool, add torque and increase overall power/driveability.

Here is a vid of my old MK3 with a 1.5JZ and a Holset HX52 which is similar to an S366 specs wise.

Should be able to handle that setup no problem.....I am on a stock Aristo 2jzgte and it starts pulling hard at around 3000 rpm....Good turbo and you will love the sound of it

If you wait until spring when I finish welding up the 4" exhaust, I'll let you know firsthand

Exactly the setup I'm running except I also have a quickspool valve.

I want to go quickspool... but I'm worried about all the extra work involved to make it work.. I'd have to change up my manifold and downpipe.

Might just do it though if the lag is going to be too much.

Stock bottom 1j with usdm Tt cams, 93, and 50/50 water/meth made 27psi at 4200rpm on an s363. I imagine with e85 it'd prob be close to that ball park.

As suggested earlier, do the 3.0 bottom, ge head gasket and some studs. Make that **** sing.

If I saw 27 psi at 4200, I'd be psyched!

Contemplating the 3.0 bottom end... All that really changes for me are some parts (which aren't ordered) and I suppose I'd need a new exhaust manifold.. Really wanted to keep the 1jz to keep cost down and because I really like my 1j.. I know it's history and health.

A project such as this (my first real big one), I don't fully trust myself with some of these installs and tweaking, so I've enlisted some help, which will add to the cost. Either way, I rather it be done right the first time.

the manfiolds bolt to the head, so 1jz head plus 2jzge bottom end still means you use all the 1jz manifolds.
so you wouldn't need a new manifold for a 1.5jz if you have a 1jz manifold.
you would mostly need a good 2jzge block do go 1.5jz.

you should be able to hit that mark or come real close to it depending on your tuner. Check out my build thread. I would highly recommend addressing any weak links in your SC; suspension, rings, seals, grip....and please get a good LSD.

I have a 1jz exhaust manifold for sale - Manic Tech Racing Exhaust manifold will clear a GT42 on 1jz $800 shipped (+ paypal fees). This manifold works great, coated and zero boost creep. This was on a BWS366 for less than 2k miles

I also have a spare ebay intake manifold lying around - $150 shipped (+ paypal fees)

Let me know if you're interested and good luck
