What does it sound like?
The clicking sounds like a valve tick.
But what does the other deep base noise sound like? A knock? Am I just hearing things?
Is it safe for me to drive it for an hour to my mechanic?

Sounds like you should tow it. Unless you were wanting to have the engine replaced...
I hate to say it, but it sounds like it might be a rod knock. How's the oil?

Close to low, did not have time to change it. unknown mileage on the oil. I have not been driving the car also, just sitting atm.
