Can someone help me out and post a pic of the resistor placement in the EGR plug. I'm showing Code 71 and i think doing this will trick the ecu. I've search but i can't find a pic.
So, all i do is take one of these resistors, unplug the EGR cable and stick the resistor inside the plug? Also, i leave it unplugged and probably use some electrical tape to keep the resostor In place.
Here's another pic. This is the only probe/sensor wire coming from the EGR pipe. So i cut this or unplug and add the resistor to it? Correct me if I'm wrong and direct me to correct wire/harness/probe thingy.
Ok, I think I see where we're confused. I've read references to something connected to the EGR pipe, but that's not the case on the SC400 so I'd never seen an example of it. The SC300 must have the probe there instead of on the intake manifold like I'm used to. (Aside, I hate the confusion that results from people not specifying which model they're referring to.) So, it seems likely that you've got the correct one there and want to put the resistor on the harness side of that connector.
