Thermostat question
So i have a 93 SC4, 166k and recently my heat gauge would go up slightly throughout driving, accelaration etc, then it would go back down to normal levels afterwards.
Yes, i did search extensively and didn't find the specific answer i was looking for.
I checked, and there are no leaks whatsoever, engine bay is as clean as can be, pipes look fine.
there was a crack in the reservoir near the little rubber cap that has wires , but i used epoxy and let it dry over 24hours and it seemed to help a bit but i don't think that caused anything.
I checked my oil (does not look like chocolate milk) , and topped off my coolant since it was low and i thought that was the problem.
My last guess is that the thermostat is the culprit. I dont know when it was last changed or anything but i suspect that is the culprit
Just hate seeing the heat needle move around, and i dont want my car to over heat.
Can anyone chime in with expertise on my problem
thanks, Sanddwich

Doubt its the t stat since your gauge is moving. My guess is air into system. Try bleeding the system. Park with the nose on incline or put it on ramps. Take the radiator cap off and crank the engine and let it run a little while. Also turn your heat on high.
