Swinging Side Mirror Help
CL,
So my mirror on the driver side is swinging like an open relationship and I'm trying to resolve this before I crash my car into another person while merging. So I've come across this thread here:
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...-56k-ouch.html
But naturally all the pictures are missing like every other DIY in the SC section here. So I'm curious, will I need to take off my door panel to tighten down the mirror or can I simply remove the class and tighten something down to keep my mirror from swinging around like a broken limb.
Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!

If you pop off the tweeter cover and the rectangular plastic piece that clips into the window trim right by it, you'll be able to access the three 10mm bolts that hold the mirror on.
However, you'll likely need to take off the door panel to reach the connector that clips into the upper part of the speaker enclosure, since there probably won't be enough slack in the wires to pull the mirror out enough to work on it.

I had the same thing happen to mine. I removed the mirror and realized that the piece that allows the mirror to fold in had a piece broken off. I eventually just drilled a screw into the bottom of the base where the piece had broken from. Reattached and it was fixed. but it doesn't fold down anymore. No biggie. Sorry I don't have a better description of the repair for you. Good luck.
