You're going to have to give us some more info dude. Which transmission are you using first of all?

A simple search using terms like "sc400 manual" "sc400 5 speed" "sc400 spd" "sc400 w58" or "sc400 r154" will get you lots of results and help. Also look through the DYI/Tutorial thread stickied to the top of the sc300/400 forum as well, I know there's a few links to threads that already list EXACTLY what you need to do this.

Here's one of the original threads that got everyone into swapping manuals into 400's. Although I think QuantumAuto is now out of business (not sure, you'll have to look in to that), but I think a lot of guys use 1uzfeswapkit.com for their swap kits.

Most likely I will be using the W58 transmission, and I have been doing a great deal of research and reading up on the 5sp swap. But since quantum-auto is no longer I was wondering what other 5sp swap kits are available.

Thanks for the input I will look up 1uzfeswapkit.com and see what they have to offer. I believe I am already going with driftmotion for the pedal swap kit so hopefully not to much more to get. Have not seen to many dyi with pics yet so hopefully someone can point me to them..

Thanks again

jroy, I'd still recommend considering an R154 swap given that you have a 290hp VVT-i. The longevity of a W58 against a 300hp+ engine depends on how gently you drive it, how wide the rear tires are, etc. The R154 is also not the "clunky" transmission you may read about in some comparison threads. Like the W58 it's a great transmission if it's in good shape. At this point it's not a bad idea to send a higher mileage W58 or R154 in for a rebuild due to their age, however both transmissions are very durable and reliable but were designed with different levels (and delivery) of engine torque in mind.

Here is a good comprehensive thread regarding the parts needed for either 5-speed swap:
